A strong hard player who wears his heart on his sleeve, he comes from a Newtonmore family steeped in shinty including his uncle the famous Jock Paul Mackintosh. His combative style in midfield led to some disciplinary issues, but since his move up front he has been scoring some special goals and controlling his reactions when provoked. He has been a regular in the first team since he was a teenager. Lives in Newtonmore with his partner Catherine and two children.
